The number \( x \) of people entering the intensive care unit at a particular hospital on any one day has a Poisson probability distribution with mean equal to four persons per day.(a) What is the probability that the number of people entering the intensive care unit on a particular day is two? (Round your answer to three decimal places.)What is the probability that the number of people entering the intensive care unit on a particular day is less than or equal to two? (Round your answer to three decimal places.) Yes it is likely because \( x \) is less than 2 standard deviations above the mean.No it is not likely because \( x \) is more than 2 standard deviations above the mean.

iPhone X Reboot Loop - Apple Care Advice
Main Post:
Figured I'd try and save people the 4hrs I just spent on the phone with 3 Apple reps trying to figure out WTF to do.
My wife's phone wouldn't turn on this AM, it was stuck with the Apple logo on the screen (occasionally it would disappear, then come back 5sec later). Sounds like it's stuck in a reboot loop, where the phone tries to update the software but basically gets paralyzed while doing so. And so now the Apple logo gets stuck on the screen and you can't do anything.
Some suggestions on what to do / troubleshoot after chatting with Apple. Btw, in most cases this is a SOFTWARE issue not a hardware issue:
- Try the Force Restart. By press/release up volume, then same with down volume, then hold power button down. Article on that here
- If that doesn't work, try plugging the phone into a Macbook (if only have USB charger, need an older one that has USB port, otherwise you need a thunderbolt cable for the newer ones where it's Type C on one end). Fire up iTunes. Then do the Force Restart above and while you're STILL holding the power button on the phone, plug the phone into the laptop. The screen on the iPhone should change to a power cord with URL at the top and the screen on the laptop should then show options to UPDATE or RESTORE AND UPDATE. Try UPDATE only first, especially if you're not sure if you've backed up everything in iCloud before this started happening because the RESTORE AND UPDATE option erases the phone to factory settings. It'll take like 25min for the UPDATE to happen. Once it's done, either something will happen automatically on the phone or leave the phone plugged into the laptop for an hour to see if anything changes
- If that doesn't work, do the same as 2 except choose RESTORE AND UPDATE (reminder - if you don't have everything backed up to iCloud you'll lose everything on the phone)
I've tapped my iPhone knowledge and reddit capabilities but hopefully someone finds this helpful. I'm in the middle of these steps right now so will report back what happens.

Fare codes - X, Y, U, etc - why should I care?
Main Post:
I really don't understand the ticket classes mean. I know some can get upgraded, some are free, some are full fare, some are employee or deadhead or standby.
"U" class - I think that means full fare main cabin? Maybe "Y" means full fare first class cabin?
I know X is bad - saver.
I'm sure there is a chart, but as a mileage plan member, why should I care what code my ticket is when the airlines don't share that on the booking page? If they do, it is probably buried somewhere.
Top Comment: Why should I care what code my ticket is when the airlines don't share that on the booking page They matter for EQMs and upgrades. Also they definitely show it, on the cart page. Here's a random example https://i.imgur.com/bLu2ALy.png , see the (V) after Main on the left? That's the fare class. I don't know anything about the codes used for employee/deadhead/standby, so I'll focus on the fare classes that matter as a normal traveler. The EQM chart is here: https://www.alaskaair.com/content/mileage-plan/how-to-earn-miles/earn-on-alaska?lid=mileageplan:how-to-earn:earn-on-alaska J is "full fare" business, the most expensive, and you earn a full 100% bonus EQM/RDM (which gets multiplied further if you have some tier of MVP status). C, D, and I are various levels of discounted business classes. You earn a bit less miles, but typically these are a lot cheaper. Y is full fare main cabin. B, H, K, M, L, V, S, N, Q, O, and G are all the progressively lower fares for Main. And yep, X is Saver. Y, B, H, K all earn some bonus miles, but everything else will earn 100%. Finally, U is a special code that means the ticket was originally booked in one of the economy fares, but has been upgraded to First. Miles earned will use the originally economy fare code. It is very unlikely you would ever actually book a Y or J fare. That's the absolute highest a flight could be (think near a thousand dollars for a transcon in Main). Most flights will typically be somewhere between S and O. In addition to EQM/RDM, fare class matters for upgrades. Depending on your tier of status, a given fare class could mean being instantly upgraded to premium class or even first at time of booking. Even if not, fare class matters to determine who gets upgrade priority between two people with the same tier of status. You can take a look at https://www.alaskaair.com/content/mileage-plan/membership-benefits/complimentary-upgrades to determine which fare codes would get what for you. In addition to automatic upgrades, fares must be N or higher to apply a Gold Guest Upgrade. Since the whole "Fare class" thing is a little complicated for a lot of people, when searching for flights on alaskaair.com, you can just use the "Upgrade fare type" on the left. For example, if you select "MVP Gold", it will add a "Premium Class Upgrade" column to show the N fare (or whatever the Main fare is if the cheapest available fare is already N or higher) and add a "First Class Upgrade" to show the K fare. Now, should you care? Personally, I never book saver, and I've never had to fly a K or higher fare, so the difference in miles earned has never mattered to me. As a MVP Gold, the only thing that really matters to me is whether my flight is N (or higher) or not, as that both means I can book Premium Class for free, and I can apply a Gold Guest Upgrade if U space is available.
Do you care about the gender or other specifics in x reader?
Main Post:
I usually don’t. I’m female but I’ll still read X Male Reader no hesitation and just pretend for the 10 mins that I have a dick and use he/him.Sometimes it’ll be X Plus size reader and I’ll pretend that I’m chubby for the time I’m reading it. Or just make an oc in my head. How much do you care about it?
Top Comment:
I do, I'm only interested in reading either gn ones or ones that align with my gender and other identity factors, and will filter out the other ones
This is the official end of the X men movie universe and I don't care what anyone says.
Main Post:
Imo, it's the best x men film they've made and it's the perfect conclusion (with the exception of mystique being striker at the end which wasn't followed up on in apocalypse) to the x men films series. It retconned the 2 worst films in the franchise (last stand and origins) and it gave the perfect happy ending to the "original" timeline, (obviously since the prequels continued in another timeline). And I don't know about y'all but I consider Logan (which I also love btw) to be a great alternate universe ending and the Deadpool films as alternate universes as well (or branched timelines to universe 10005). I just don't like how Logan is a depressing end to the hopeful and optimistic ending of dofp and it doesn't even feel like Logan could take place only 6 years after dofp's ending cause wolverine looks so much older and weaker. That's just my 2 cents.
Top Comment: I love this movie.
